About
Emily Blom is a Hobart-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, printmaking, photography, textiles, and large-scale installations.
With a background in printmaking and art theory from the University of Tasmania, her multi-layered work explores themes of femininity, memory, and transformation through layered compositions rich in colour, pattern, and texture.
Inspired by the natural environment and seasonal rhythms of Lutruwita/Tasmania, her work reflects cycles of blooming, fading, and renewal that parallel stages of the feminine human experience. Both theatrical and intimate, Blom’s atmospheric works exist somewhere between reality and fiction, exploring the beauty found in the space between what is revealed and what is concealed.
Emily is represented by Handmark.
